Order Process For USA Credit Cards

Best Pet Products uses the latest SSL technology to make sure your credit card transaction is protected and safe. To place a credit card order with us, do the following:

  • Add products to the shopping cart
  • Enter your zip code
  • Choose your shipping method to re-calculate the shipping costs
  • If you are finished shopping, hit checkout. Or continue shopping


For New Customers:

Complete the customer information form including your shipping address as well as your credit card billing address. Create an account with Best Pet Products with a username and password. This will enable you to fill out personal data automatically for future orders.

  • Enter a shipping address, if different than the billing address
  • Include any special instructions in comments section
  • Click on the checkout button
  • Review your information. Hit back button to correct any errors
  • Enter credit card information without any spaces or dashes. Enter expiration date and security code
  • Click checkout button again
  • Print the numbered sales order that appears on the screen. This is just a sales number not a confirmation.

For Non-USA Credit Cards

The credit card processing system uses an AVS system, which is address verification system to verify address and prevent fraud. This can create a problem for non-US based credit card payments. Be sure that your bank supports AVS before using your non-US credit card. You can use wire transfer, Paypal or Google Checkout as alternate forms of payment. To use a non-Us credit card, follow these instructions:

  • Enter ship to country
  • Choose shipping method (All Canadian orders must be shipped to a street address)
  • Click checkout if you are finished shopping, or resume shopping

How Is My Credit Card Processed?

Your credit card is processed through Authorize.net. This site encrypts the card numbers and transfers them to the bank to authorize the transaction. A card authorization means that the funds are being withheld from your account for your purchase.

The company compares the security code, zip code and billing address with the entries on the shopping cart.

If the bank authorizes the transaction, a sales order is generated and, after approval of your charge, an email confirmation is sent to you. A second email confirmation is sent to you after your order is shipped.

What Happens If My Card Is Rejected?

If your credit card is rejected, you can do the following:

Call us at (888) 777-9994 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We can take your order over the phone. Have your credit card in your possession as we will require proof of possession.

Fax us the order, with a copy of the front and back of the credit card.

What If I Press Checkout More Than Once After I Enter The Credit Card Information?

If you have a question about your order because your browser is running slow and you press the checkout button more than once, you should call us. Our system tries to prevent multiple orders. If there is a case where a multiple order occurs, we can cancel it before it is processed and the card refunded.


How To Pay By Check, Money Order Or Purchase Order

If you are in the USA and wish to pay this way, you can contact us by email with your name, phone number and request so we can respond to you individually and give you instructions.

If you are outside the USA, contact us with your name, address, phone number as well as your preferred method of shipment. If you plan to pay by wire transfer, we need to have the transfer made in US dollars. We accept only money orders made out in US dollars for transactions.

If you are a medical institution or environmental agency send us your company name, address, bill to and ship to address when placing an order. Payment options can include a wire transfer, or approved credit terms.

Individuals paying by credit card should complete the credit card processing page and click once. Print the page and do not click again. If you are paying by fax, be sure to include your phone number. If you have a large order, we will be able to discuss a cost estimate with you by phone.

How Do I Verify The Status of My Order

When you place your order, you can check on the status the next business day. You will see if the item is in stock, if the inventory is low or if the inventory is on back order. Items that are on back order will ship within one business day after inventory is received. If the inventory is low, it is possible that the product will be out of stock by the time your order is placed. In such a case, the same rules will apply as that for backordered items.
